Functional Style

It’s been a little while since I have written a style post. It wasn’t an intentional decision by any means. I did, however, make the decision to focus on quality posting in recent months. While I love style posts, I don’t want to post them simply for the sake of having a new post on the blog. The decision to only share looks that I truly love was an easy one. This particular look is one that I wanted to share because I feel like there has been a shift towards style that is more practical and comfortable. I ‘m all in! While I am in awe of women who can rock dresses and heels on a daily basis, that’s just simply not for this girl. At this point in my life, I cannot sacrifice comfort for style. I don’t have it in me anymore!. It’s just not happening. I’m no longer a youthful twenty-something with a body that seems invincible. I have neck pain, back pain and I often struggle just to get up from the floor without pulling faces! On top of the physical reasons, I have another reason and her name is Emerson. This mama needs to be dressed in a way that allows her to R-U-N. My little Emmy Girl is no stranger to energy and movement and I just need to be able to keep up.

This all being said, I still like to feel put together when out and about. This specific look is one that allows for both form and function.
