Hope that everyone is having a wonderful holiday season so far. It’s pretty unbelievable to think that we are already on the cusp of entering a new year. It feels like it was October just days ago. I was laying in bed the other night wondering if years have always seemed to pass quickly or if that feeling comes about once you reach adulthood. I remember being so ecstatic once school was out for the summer. Over two months to have sleepovers, attend camps and to play outside long after it was dark. The end August always came quickly but I can’t recall if an entire year felt like a blur back then or not.
Speaking of time passing rapidly…it dawned on me that Emerson will be entering her third year since birth. Born in 2017, experienced 2018 and will now make memories in 2019. That blows my mind to think about time in that way!
Before we head into the new year, I wanted to share some of our pictures from our little family holiday shoot. There is a backstory behind these images. You see, every year, we take pictures with our friend, Cat from Cat Wilborne Photography. It’s tradition at this point. My entire family gathers at my parents’ house every fall and Cat captures pictures of us all…in both large groups and smaller ones. Well, I goofed. I was so focused on having her take pictures of the four cousins together that I completely spaced on having her take any pictures of just Ryan and Emerson together for our holiday card.
This time of year is incredibly busy for photographers so I didn’t want to pester Cat about trying to fit us in for a mini session. Who came to the rescue? My friend and fellow blogger, Courtney from Collectively Courtney. She met my (highly frazzled) family at our favorite local tree farm. She took pictures of the four of us and then I snapped some of the two kiddos together. I will forever be grateful to her for giving up her time to help us out.
Hope you all have a beautiful weekend!
xoxo
