After a relaxing weekend at the beach, we are back home. Typically, other members of my family join us but this weekend it was only David, Ryan, Emerson and myself at the beach house. Our plan was to spend quality time with our little family…particularly out in the sand and in the ocean. Well, for some reason, Ryan wanted to spend a lot of time in the house. Instead of trying to coax him outside, we let him play with his toys that we leave there. It’s so beautiful inside with all of the massive windows and the beautiful view of the ocean so, really, I don’t blame him for wanting to hang out in there.
We did eventually make it out to the beach. Ryan and I played in the waves for a bit but then decided that it would be fun to dig a deep hole in the sand. It ended up being deep enough that only his little head peeked out. Man, I had forgotten just how much of a workout digging in the sand can be after just a matter of minutes.
Because I am always active on the beach because of the kids’ ages, a swimsuit that provides coverage is a necessity. I have a few off the shoulder suits and I find myself grabbing those every time. Not only are they mom-friendly, they are also adorable. Plus, they cover up my arms…the area which makes me feel most self-conscious. All in all, an off the shoulder suit is a pretty perfect option if you want a suit that provides coverage but will also allow you to feel feminine.
