Happy Monday, everyone!
Did you all have a great weekend? Quite honestly, I am still recovering a little bit from lack of sleep. My girlfriend, Ginger, and I headed to Charlotte on Friday afternoon. We went to visit Tiffany! I had mentioned on Instastories that I would force her to be on camera a ton so you all could see her as well but, truth be told, we had such a blast that I kept forgetting. A entire day (and night) of girl-time was so good for the soul. I am a bit embarrassed to admit that it was my first night away with the girls since my bachelorette party SEVEN YEARS AGO. It is definitely time to start thinking about doing a proper (several days long) girls’ trip annually. I need more than just one night, for sure!
One of the pairs of shoes that I packed for my overnight were an adorable pair of yellow slide sandals. Because I have been living in sneakers throughout fall and winter, I had taken a little hiatus from hunting for other types of shoes but when the weather began to shift a couple of weeks ago, it became clear that it was time. You know me and my love of comfort…I wanted a pair of flat sandals in which I could comfortably walk for miles. They needed to be well-made but inexpensive enough that I could wear them while out and about with the kids without worrying about a little dirt.
Ultimately, it became clear that a pair of slides were ideal. Flat, comfy, easy to slip on and off. Luckily, I found the perfect pair as soon as I started to look. Admittedly, I bought both the rich yellow pair and the gorgeous blush color. They are the first pair pictured below. I wanted to share the pair that I landed on as well as some other similar options…
