Morning, friends!
Things have been a bit hectic around here lately so I know that my posts have been sporadic. I am hoping that by the time Emerson is three months old, a clear schedule will have emerged and posting consistently will become easier. This two kid gig is no joke. David and I have asked each other, “How in the world do people have three or four kids and function?” at least thirty times…okay, maybe fifty. The two of us like order and predictability so the last nine weeks have definitely been an adjustment. In fact, I am planning on writing a “real talk” blog post about the challenges we have faced. Thankfully, everything is really falling into place over the last couple of weeks. Emerson is so much happier, more comfortable and is continuing to gain weight…slowly but steadily. She began smiling a lot over the past week but somehow refuses to do so on camera. Ryan laughed the other morning and she squealed back at him. Their connection is the absolute best. Life is pretty darn good.
On a recent (brief) shopping outing with my mom, I spotted an adorable jumper. It was hot pink and while I was drawn to the style, In my personal option, the color was a bit too vibrant for me at my age. The idea of wearing a jumper was appealing but it seemed like a more muted color might better suit my age. Toptop also had a berry colored one online and that seemed like the perfect option. Because I didn’t want the look to appear juvenile in style, I opted to pair the jumper with a simple black turtleneck sweater. The sweater help to add a touch pf sophistication to the otherwise fun look. I had been wanting to wear my new star tights so this seemed like the perfect opportunity.
xoxo
