Happy Friday, friends. I’m so sad that it’s Friday because that means I return to work in just a few days. It has been amazing to have some time off to visit with friends and family.
As we are wrapping up 2016, we thought we would share a few of our favorite purchases of 2016. Lindsey’s items were on the blog yesterday, so make sure to check those out as well. Here are mine!

Pom Pom Beanie: If you were to run into me over the weekend (or today), chances are I’m rocking a pom pom beanie. I’m all about throwing on a hat or beanie to avoid styling or even brushing my hair on the weekends. While I have several beanies, my cream one is my absolute favorite.
OTK Boots: I was very hesitant to try over-the-knee boots. I was afraid that the boots would not fit over my calves and thighs and then I would be even more self-conscious about my legs…but, I was wrong. These boots are cute, comfortable, chic and the best part, they actually make my legs look thinner!
Eye shadow: This palette of neutrals is amazing. The 12 shades range from matte to shimmer and sparkle. Plus, it comes with a professional-quality shadow brush.
Sneakers: I’ve talked about my newfound love for sneakers a lot this year so, of course, my Adidas Superstars made the list. I love these shoes so much that I now want the white and copper metallic ones.
Candle: I’ll keep this really short. If you love candles, this one smells amazing.
Earrings: I purchased this set a little over a month ago and haven’t worn any other earrings since. While these crystal covered studs look big, they aren’t heavy at all. Plus, they are marked down to $58 (from $112).
Chandelier: We purchased this teardrop pendant earlier in the year to hang over our dining room table. We love the oversized wine jug and the texture of handblown glass.
Watch: I just got my Apple Watch Series 2 for Christmas so I’m still trying to figure out all the features but I love what I do know so far. I haven’t worked out yet, but looking forward to seeing what the fitness features have to offer come next week when I get back to the gym (with everyone else in the world).
Booties: These cutout booties should be no surprise. I’ve worn them so many times on the blog. They are so comfortable and I love the cutout detail. And guess what…the camel ones are currently on sale for $129!
Ripped Denim: Do you hate spending hundreds of dollars on jeans? Well, I took a chance on Vigoss Destroyed Skinny Jeans and they are now my favorites. I’m obsessed with them (I am wearing these today too)…so much I’m going to buy a second pair because they are currently on sale for $45. YES, FORTY-FIVE DOLLARS!
Sunglasses: Similar to the high price of jeans, I was tired of spending hundreds of dollars on sunglasses to only throw them in my purse or in my passenger car seat. It made no sense, so I found these at Urban Outfitters for $16 and I wear them non-stop. Goes to show you that you don’t have to spend a fortune for something cute. Plus, these more affordable finds helped offset my next item.
Designer bag: Obviously, this was a splurge item but I work hard and this was a treat for myself. I decided to purchase during our trip to Charleston in October and while I had a little buyer’s remorse at first, I have really enjoyed my new bag. We all work very hard so if there is something you want and can pull it off, I say reward yourself.
