Hi there, everyone!
Some of you are back to the reality of work schedules while others are enjoying a weeklong break from work. Either way, hope you all are having a great week. As we prepare to say goodbye to 2016 and welcome 2017 with open arms, we wanted to each compile a list of our favorite items we purchased throughout the past year and share them with you all. I’m up first…
1. Baublebar Necklace | 2. Thank You Notes | 3. Moto Boots | 4. Laura Mercier Eye Powder | 5. Keurig Mini | 6. Pajamas | 7. Styling Wand Set | 8. Neck Scarf | 9. Vegan Leather Jacket | 10. MAC Skinfinish Powder | 11. Oribe Anti-Humidity Spray | 12. iRobot
Statement necklace: This necklace just might be my favorite purchase of the year. It is so versatile and pairs with looks that are both formal or casual. Throw it on with a little black dress or your favorite vintage concert tee!
Personalized Thank You Notes: My love of all things stationary began when I was just a little girl. Now, thanks to companies like Minted, it is so easy to find the perfect thank you cards for you and your family. I like to order a couple dozen at a time complete with all three of our names. This year, I ordered this card and we just ran out so I ordered new ones as well as personalized thank you’s for Ryan.
Dolce Vita Boots: These boots are AMAZING. When I first started to compile this list, I immediately knew that they had to make an appearance. I have had them for a couple of months now and wear them several times a week. They are super comfortable so I tend to throw them on for days when I know we will be walking around a lot.
Eye Brightening Powder: Not to sound completely dramatic but this powder has changed my life with regards to my beauty regimen. My eyeliner was always halfway down my cheeks three hours into the day prior to using this product. I now apply this powder over my concealer and it sets the concealer in place so my liner no longer moves. It is such an incredible product. Tiffany recently started using it as well and she loves it as much as I do!
Keurig Mini Coffee Maker: After years of owning various versions of the traditional Keurig, David and I wanted to give the mini a whirl for several reasons. The main reason is that isn’t a reservoir for the water to sit for long period of time, therefore reducing the likelihood of mold growing. (Gross, but true.) You pour in your water and it is all used immediately for your one cup of coffee. Another huge bonus? It takes up far less space on the counter! Plus, it’s just so cute!
Nordstrom Pajama Set: While I am the first person to jump into my sweats before bed, I always like to try and have some cute pajamas on hand as well. It’s funny how pajamas can help me feel motivated in the mornings. I purchased this set awhile back and am so thrilled with the soft material. They are the perfect weight for most of the year. Heavy enough to keep you warm but not enough to make you roast. They are now my go-to jammies!
Whirl Trio Styling Wand Set: I know, I know, the hefty price tag is intimidating! At least, it was for me initially. I had never had a “nice” wand and decided it was time. After doing my research, this set seemed to be the best option…it is fantastic! The large wand is perfect for creating soft curls (that last) for longer hair. ***Just don’t be a moron like me and read the directions! I skipped that part and didn’t attach the wand properly the first time and burned the heck out of my neck!
Neck Scarf: These sweet little neck scarves have become a slight obsession for me this year. You can wear them all year round in so many ways…add a bit of sophistication to a dressy look or add a bit of edge to a more casual look.
Urban Renewal Vegan Leather Jacket: I. LOVE. THIS. JACKET. I had been hunting for years for the perfect vegan leather jacket and couldn’t have been happier when I stumbled across this one. I had found that a lot of these jackets fit tightly, making it impossible to layer with sweaters during the winter…but this one fits perfectly!
MAC ‘Mineralize’ Skinfinish: Thanks to our friend, Lindsey Regan Thorne, I am now a daily user of this amazing product. She recommended it on her blog awhile back and I am so happy that she did. It has become one of my favorite products EVER. I apply it to my cheeks after I finish with the rest of my makeup and it gives the most beautiful glow. Highly recommend this product!
Oribe Anti-Humidity Spray: As a girl with naturally curly hair that frizzes if there is any moisture lurking in the air, I have tried countless anti-frizz and anti-humidity potions. Most of the sprays I had used could have been called, “Keep the Humidity Slightly at Bay but Make Your Hair Completely Lifeless”. Not this spray! For me, this product does in fact help with humidity but does not cause my hair to go limp. I keep this little purse size one in my car for days when I forget to “prepare”.
iRobot Vacuum Robot: David and I are obsessed with this vacuum. He may be slightly more obsessed than I am but it is a phenomenal product. We have several area rugs and as those of you with rugs know, they tend to shed with foot traffic. We turn this baby on when we leave the house and it sucks up all of the annoying rug fibers as well as any other dust particles on the floors. It is by far one of our favorite new items this year!
Hope you all have a wonderful day!
xoxo
