Good morning, sweet friends!
Christmas weekend has arrived and our house is starting to buzz with excitement. My in-laws are arriving from Virginia today. They usually arrive on the 23rd and then stay through Christmas morning. We exchange gifts and celebrate with them on Christmas Eve. David’s sister and her husband live locally in Chapel Hill so they come over that night as well. We always have such a nice time and I am really looking forward to watching Ryan celebrate with us this year as he was just a baby this time last year. After eating a late breakfast on Christmas morning, David, Ryan and I will pack up the car and drive to my parents’ house…just ten minutes away. My brother, sister-in-law and two nieces will meet us there for our family celebration. Even though we all live near each other, our tradition is for everyone to sleepover at my parents’ home Christmas night and spend the next day together. I look forward to this all year long because waking up in the same house with my nieces is the absolute best…and I’m pretty sure that Ryan agrees!
A few weeks back, my friend and photographer, Cat Wilborne, met David, Ryan and me at a local Christmas tree farm. She took pictures of us for this year’s holiday card…and has taken them for the last several years. I feel so thankful to know that I will forever have these images to remember these times in Ryan’s life.
HAPPIEST OF HOLIDAYS TO YOU ALL!!!
