How is it only Thursday? Work has been really busy for me this week, so I feel like I’ve worked a full week already…come to think about it, I’m really close to 40 hours already. Needless to say, I’m ready for the weekend. Luckily for me, my mother-in-law is arriving Saturday afternoon and she is staying with us for a month. Not only will she be here for Thanksgiving, she will be here for her birthday so we are looking forward to spoiling her during her visit!
Because she is coming, I have been on a mission to finish styling some new shelves we recently purchased for our living room. Why is it so hard to find the perfect stuff to put on shelves? You want to decorate them but avoid making them look cluttered…you purchase things then you return things and repeat. Ugh.
This past Sunday I was out looking for shelving decorations and I decided I would venture into Kohl’s. I never really go into Kohl’s except the day after Christmas to scour their discounted holiday decor, but thought I would go check out their home section to see what I could find. As I made my way to the back of the store, I found myself distracted by their clothes. Cute shirts kept catching my eye and before I knew it, I was headed to the dressing room with a handful of tops from Lauren Conrad’s collection.
Ladies, I’m telling you now, go to Kohl’s and check out her stuff. Not only is her collection soft and pretty, the tops are extremely flattering. I found this blouse on the sale rack and it was less than $20! At full price it’s only $44 but at the sale price I decided to buy myself this black one, a floral one AND I bought my mother-in-law a white and black one. I have another top to share once the weather is cool enough for me to wear a sweater…hopefully you will love it too!
