Happy Monday, everyone!
The exclamation point at the end of that greeting is probably misleading. While I hope you all have a wonderful day, it is not quite a happy Monday in our household. Ryan and I are both sick with colds and are feeling pretty miserable. Typically, sickness doesn’t knock me down too much but this cold is brutal. I could sleep ALL DAY LONG. Ryan is being much tougher than I am but it will be great for us to feel better. This look that I am sharing was shot during David’s and my trip to Charleston so I’ll spend the next little bit reminiscing and not focusing on this dumb cold.
Way back during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, I had functional layering pieces on my mind. I wanted to add a few open front cardigans to my wardrobe or possibly some long vests. There was a leopard print open front cardigan hanging at the entrance of the sale area. I knew it was by Joie so I reluctantly walked by because I was trying to avoid any hefty price tags. My eyes kept glancing back at the cardigan but I resisted. After trying on items in the fitting room, I realized that there were only a few pieces that I wanted to purchase. Because of this, I decided to at least try on the cardigan. The anniversary sale price wasn’t quite as bad as anticipated so I decided to trade another item out in order to bring this one home. It seemed like such a great piece because it can be worn as a cardigan or a jacket. It can be thrown over a simple tank or tee but can also be layered over a turtleneck during the winter. (Because this cardigan is definitely an investment piece, I will share some more modestly priced options as well.)
