Hello, friends!
It’s hard to believe that the week is almost halfway over…cough, cough, and I still haven’t finished unpacking from our trip. It may be my least favorite thing to do in the world after laundry. You see, that makes it even more of a problem because they tend to go hand-in-hand. My goal is to have everything done by the end of tomorrow. (I was going to say by the end of today but thought, “There is no need to be ridiculous.”)
Typically, I like to feel comfortable when I am going out. Long gone are the days of dangerously high heels and tight fabrics. However, not wanting to wear anything that doesn’t feel good doesn’t mean that I want to look like I just rolled out of bed either. When I found this plaid tunic back at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I knew it would be a piece that I would wear often during the cooler months. I originally planned to wear it with a leather jacket but opted for a moto vest instead because of the mild temperatures we are still experiencing. The tunic is really soft and easy to wear. The slits on the side create pretty movement as you walk and they add to the comfortability. It could easily be paired with leggings (or my favorite, faux leather leggings) for an even more punched up look.
Now, let’s talk about the shoes. While they look a bit high and perhaps intimidating to those of you who don’t wear heels often, I can assure you that I felt the same way. I put them on for the first time and was surprised at how stable I felt while wearing them. Tiffany and I went out that night and I walked the streets of downtown Durham without issue. Kudos to my ankles for actually supporting this venture.
While this particular moto vest is no longer available as I purchased it a coupe of years ago, I linked another option as well as a cool vegan leather jacket.
xoxo
