Hope you all are having a great week so far! Things around here have been a little more hectic than usual…in a good way. David and I are heading out soon for our belated anniversary trip to Charleston. I have never been there and cannot wait! As I mentioned previously, my stomach turns at the thought of leaving Ryan for the first time but I am trying to focus on the excitement of exploring the city with David. Everyone says it feels like such a magical place so it should make for a wonderful time.
Today I wanted to talk about my love affair with olive green vests. I purchased one from Madewell two years ago and have struggled to resist them ever since. Honestly, it was shocking to see just how often it could be thrown over top of almost any color or pattern. Initially, I played it safe and wore it with solids and neutrals but then started playing with stripes and floral prints. These vests can be worn with half of the pieces in my closet…dresses included. If I had to list my top 5 must have pieces for fall and winter, an olive green vest would be at the top of that list. Throw it over a chambray top, a casual dress or layer it with a chunky sweater. I paired it with a floral tunic dress, jeans and booties for an easy night out with Tiffany. This particular tunic is no longer available but I’ll share other Show Me Your Mumu options in the same style. While it can be worn as a dress, it is far too short for this girl so I wear it as a top. The cut is really nice and it pulls in on the sides so it doesn’t add bulkiness like a lot of their tops. It is now available in black and you better believe that option will be nearly impossible for me to resist.
