Hi there, friends!
As most of you know, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is in full effect. Cardholders have been able to access items for the past few days and then the sale will open up to the public on July 22nd. Being a cardholder allowed me to shop this week. (Side note: If you shop at Nordstrom even once and while, I highly recommend looking into their cards! If you don’t want to open a new line of credit, the debit card is a great option.) My mom and I headed to the sale together and had such a nice afternoon. Truthfully, I think it was only my second of third time shopping without Ryan. I used to be able to bring Ryan along for the ride and he would happily hang in his stroller while I tried items on but that changed recently. While he still enjoys being in the stroller he likes the stroller to be MOVING…which is great for burning some calories and popping in and out of stores but is terrible for clothes shopping.
While I was excited to shop the sale, it just so happened to be the hottest day of the summer so far. We made our way into the store and headed upstairs to start with clothes. Well, because the sale focuses on fall and winter clothing, we walked into a sea of coats and sweaters. The thought of trying on those pieces on such a scorching day was less than appealing. Honestly, I think the weather helped keep us from going too crazy with our purchases. We wanted to quickly check out the items included in the sale, try them on and head down to shoes before heading home.
While I found a few great items included in the sale, I also found a few awesome pieces that weren’t sale items. I will share them on Instagram (baublesandbackdrops) and in a style post soon! The are really cute and such a great option for transitioning into fall. Also, the vest below is AMAZING but it runs super large. I recommend sizing down at least one size, if not two. The flannel pictured below can be worn open (as pictured) or as a dress. I paired it with the leather vest below in the fitting rom and it turned out to be such a fun look! I purchased pair of the AG Jeans because this style is my favorite. I pretty much live in the AG legging. I didn’t end up purchasing these booties pictures below because I was already feeling guilty for spending too much so they are going on my wish-list.
Happy shopping!
xoxo
