It’s vacation time!!! I can’t put into words how excited I am that Rudy and I are headed to the beach tomorrow. I need some time away…a break from reality. This is our second year going to the beach with my family and while we don’t all stay together, we will all see each another at some point throughout the week. So ready!
While preparing for this trip, I found myself purchasing some new items to try.

While I haven’t tested all of these items, I can tell you that the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream smells amazing. I started using it this week and I can’t get enough. It supposedly tightens and smooths skin, but I haven’t noticed any of that yet.
I did wear my new J.Crew bathing suit over the 4th of July weekend and I have no complaints. I was in and out of the pool playing with the kids and it stayed up and in place, which is exactly what I was hoping for.
I purchased a cheap pair of sunglasses from Urban Outfitters because I like wearing my glasses in the pool and don’t want to worry about losing or breaking my more expensive ones. Same goes for the hat, I actually purchased this during 4th of July sales, so I only paid $15! Can’t beat that.
While I’m at the beach, I don’t like wearing heavy makeup, so I decided to give Urban Decay’s One and Done weightless foundation a try. All I’m really looking for it to do is even out my skin tone, so we shall see. Added bonus…it is 20 SPF.
Every once in a while I use a sea salt spray on days I don’t feel like doing anything to my hair. I typically use it the day after I curl my hair just to add some texture to waves from the previous day. I purchased Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe cream to try in additional to my sea salt spray. Hopefully it allows me to go several days without styling my hair. Fingers crossed.
Finally, I wear sunscreen all over, but I bought this Coopertone Face sunscreen to wear on my face. It’s says it is clear, which is nice because I don’t want to walk around with white lotion on my face.
I wouldn’t typically consider myself a product junkie but I may be becoming one. Hope you all have a great weekend!
