My love for overalls began many, many years ago. I remember my first pair so clearly. They were a pair of pink corduroy Osh Kosh B’Gosh and I remember every detail right down to the tiny heart-shaped buttons. I wore the heck out of those things. In middle school, I found a cute oversized pair and practically lived in them. Full disclosure, I totally wore one strap down. Then along came the next pair that I found in a thrift shop in London. They were perfect for my grunge stage. They paired perfectly with my concert tees that I wore underneath.
It had been awhile since I owned a pair so it was impossible to resist this adorable pair from Madewell. They are still just as comfortable as I remember. In order to make these look a touch more “adult” I opted to wear an off the shoulder top underneath. The lace up heels also help to make the overalls a bit more sophisticated but you can bet that I will also be throwing on my Converse with these too.
