Personalized jewelry has remained popular for decades. In fact, my mom still has her very first charm bracelet filled with all of her personally selected or gifted pieces. When jewelry holds sentimental value, it becomes such a special keepsake. For my mom, she looks at that bracelet from time to time and the childhood memories come flooding back. She remembers at which point in her life she received each charm. For me, I love jewelry that represents my loved ones. I have several necklaces and bracelets with the letter “D” (for my husband) as well as pieces engraved with our wedding date. I love to wear them because it is a constant reminder of how lucky I am to have found David. Now that we have a son, I have added additional pieces with both Ryan’s birthdate and his name. That way I can wear them when I am away from him and it somehow helps me feel closer.
One of my most treasured pieces is a charm necklace that David gave me for Christmas the year Ryan was born. Ryan arrived on December 3rd, 2014 so it was perfect timing for me to receive such a meaningful gift from my husband. There is a charm that says “Ryan” and the other one is engraved with his birthdate. I ended up adding two additional initials in memory of our twin boys whom we lost so, needless to say, this particular necklace holds great sentimental value. (The necklace David gifted to me can be found here…I simply added two initial charms from Stella & Dot.)
Because there are so many amazing options now when it comes to personalized jewelry, I wanted to share some of my favorites with you all!
xoxo
