There is a misconception that clothing shopping for little girls is far more exciting than shopping for little boys. Personally, I couldn’t disagree more. In fact, after having a boy, I am slightly inclined to say the opposite. Finding cool clothing lines that are equally as fashionable for both girls and boys has been a lot of fun. The best resource for doing so? Instagram. While pregnant, I starting following lines that I was introduced to by bloggers. They would tag their kids’ clothing pieces and I would then add the account of the clothing line. It became such a fun way to spend sleepless nights…hunting for cute boy clothes.
The only big issue is that many of these companies are located outside the U.S. which can make purchasing items far more expensive. That’s one of the many reasons why I love the line, RAGS to Raches. The company (including manufacturing) is based in Utah. It was started by Rachel Nilsson, a mom who was hoping to earn some money by selling her children’s gently used clothing. Ultimately, she noticed that the bestselling pieces were ones that she herself had handmade. It was then that realized she could start her own clothing line.
Now, RAGS to Raches offers both t-shirts and, my personal favorite item, rompers. These particular rompers have no snaps and no buttons. You read that correctly and now you’re probably wondering, “How on earth do they work?”. The neckline consists of a thin piece of elastic. This elastic allows for the romper to be easily pulled over the child’s body when putting it on or taking it off. My son, Ryan, is 14 months old and doesn’t always want to stay still when its time to get dressed or when it’s time for a diaper change. This romper allows me to get him dressed in seconds without having to convince him to hold still while I button him up…most likely, buttoning INCORRECTLY in the process. RAGS to Raches also offers t-shirts for men and women. I definitely recommend that you check out their site. The clothes are so hip, so cool and so functional!
*Side note: Funny timing for this post to publish because RAGS to riches was on Shark Tank last night! I won’t say anything more just in case you DVR-ed the episode.
Have a wonderful week, everyone!

I’m amazed, I must say. Rarely do I come across a blog that’s both
equally educative and interesting, and let me tell you, you’ve
hit the nail on the head. The issue is something too few folks are speaking intelligently
about. I’m very happy I stumbled across this
during my hunt for something relating to this.
