I started taking down our Christmas decorations. Yes, I’m just now getting around to doing it because we had family visiting over New Years and this was the first opportunity I had. I thought I would be super productive and also go through decor that we had not used in several years and start purging. Well, I didn’t realize how huge of a task I was getting myself into, to say the least. I am still not done so I know what I will be doing every afternoon after work!
Do any of you shop the day after Christmas? Rudy and I have been doing it for the past three years and we have such a great time. We get up bright and early to take advantage of all of the discounts retailers put on the Christmas decor (this is why I needed to purge). We find such great deals and it’s just fun! After we hit all the home decor stores, we then head to the mall.
This year, Anthropologie was having a huge sale…an additional 40% off their sale items. As I was browsing the sale racks, I was drawn to the colors of this kimono poncho. I believe it was an item someone had purchased online and returned to the store because it was the only one like it in sight. I instantly knew it was mine and while I knew I would wear it, I didn’t realize how often I would grab it as my final layer. You can pair with a basic tee, jeans and boots for a casual look or with a blouse and heels for a night out.

This kimono wrap from Anthropologie is very similar to the one I have and it is offered in three different colors. We are loving the gray motif (shown below) or the neutral motif.
