When it comes to gift wrapping, we both like to view it as an arts and crafts project rather than a tedious task. This way of thinking helps us get through the holidays without feeling as overwhelmed. Because of this, it has become our goal to figure out ways to personalize or add a bit of flair to a present without spending a significant amount of time. Goodness knows that time is at a premium during the holiday season so spending a lot of time wrapping each present simply for the sake of making it look pretty seems a bit unrealistic. That is why we wanted to share these three easy ways to add a bit of personality to your gifts without the stress.
1. Using twine on a present instantly adds a touch of warmth. Plus, its far less expensive than purchasing ribbon. You don’t even need to use it like you would use ribbon, you can simply wrap it around the end of a gift several times like we did here…
2. Have you seen the faux foliage at Michael’s? All you need to do is buy a couple of the large branches and use a wire cutter to make them into smaller pieces. (If you’re lucky, you can find branches that pull right off so you can skip the cutters all together.) Simply tuck a piece into the ribbon or twine on the wrapped gift. This is one of our favorite finishing touches for a present. It add such a festive feel.
3. Adding a personalized tag makes a gift feel more special. Here, we just used stamps that we already owned. Let me tell you, these little individual letter stamps are worth their weight in gold. We both use them ALL THE TIME.
Hope that you all are feeling as stress-free as possible this time of year!
Happy Sunday!
xoxo
