White jeans have become a staple in so many of our wardrobes. There is a misconception that those trusty jeans need to be put away until next spring simply because fall weather is upon us. That old rule, “No white after Labor Day” is just that…old…and outdated. If you want to continue to wear white denim but are unsure how to make it transition, here is one idea. I paired a flannel shirt with my white jeans. To add an additional layer to combat the chill in the air, I threw on a denim vest. (For the record, I wear a denim vest more than I wear any other pieces in my closet. It can be used all throughout the year. Simply throw it on and your look immediately appears more styled.) I finished off the look with a pair of distressed booties. The coziness of the flannel helps to warm up your white denim. The short, light-colored booties help to transition the jeans but without adding too much of a dark, heavy contrast.
