Maxi dresses have continued to be a hot item throughout summer. They are great pieces to own due to their versatility. Most often, you can use a maxi dress as the bottom layer and then dress it up or down by adding other items such as a denim vest or moto jacket, simple sandals or strappy heels. I recently found a great maxi option that will transition into the cooler temperatures and then can be worn again throughout next spring and summer. Any article of clothing that can be worn across multiple seasons and to a ton of different events is a score, in my humble opinion. (That coupled with being able to use my Nordstrom Notes made this dress worth the investment.) The cinching at the waistline offers a way to accenuate your figure. For my body type, wearing anything belted directly around my waist is unflattering. I tend to wear belts lower down, closer to my hips. This dress allows itself to be pulled down so you can position the cinching exactly where you would like. Plus, menswear-inspired looks for women is a major trend right now. This particular dress plays with the details of a men’s shirt…and truthfully, it is far more comfortable. I am already looking forward to wearing this to many different upcoming events!
