When making a purchase, I tend to gravitate towards articles of clothing that will be able to be worn throughout several seasons. Versatility in a piece (and especially in a more expensive piece) is a beautiful thing so I was drawn to this Free People maxi because I was able to picture wearing it now and well into the fall.
Look 1
For the first look, I paired the dress with two dainty layered necklaces, a denim jacket, a small cross body bag and flat sandals. I threw on one of my favorite hats to add one more layer to the look. Worn this way, the dress can be worn to festivals, concerts, out to dinner or a date night during the warmer months.
Details: Dress: Free People | Denim Jacket: Kut from the Kloth | Hat: Madewell | Shoes: Sperry (had them since last year so there is only a limited supply) | Bag: Marc Jacobs (old but here is a very similar one) | Horn Necklace: Stella & Dot | Steer Head Necklace: Kendra Scott |
Look 2
For the next look, I traded out the denim jacket for a leather one (size Large is currently over 80% off) and threw on one of my go-to statement necklaces from Baublebar. (I have this necklace in both silver and gold and wear them constantly with both dressier and more casual outfits. They appear on the Baublebar website and then sell out so I will keep checking and post link once back in stock.) I threw on some heels and grabbed my favorite fringed bag. This look will be great for evenings out once the cooler weather starts to roll in.

The week is almost halfway over…does anyone else feel like this week is crawling a bit?
