There are three pieces of casual clothing that are essential for me to have in my closet. The first being a denim jacket, the second a great black and white striped shirt and the third a pair of loose-fitting comfortable pants. I have had this denim jacket for years and it is still one of my go-to items that I reach for consistently. I always feels so much more put together when I throw it on as an additional layer. This striped shirt is great because it is a bit longer. Because I have a long torso, so many of the tops that are currently in stores are far too short. This particular one is long enough to cover everything I want it to cover. Lastly, let’s discuss this pair of pants…this amazingly comfortable but cute pair of pants. I found these at Anthropologie and was instantly smitten. Often times, jogger pants look adorable on the hanger have a less than flattering fit. They can add the illusion of extra weight and bulk if they aren’t cut well for your body. I love that this pair is tapered at the ankle. I think that it helps create a more streamlined look. I paired these items with my fringed Sole Society bag that I want to carry everywhere. The size is pretty close to perfect, the quality is great and at less than $60.00 it was hard to resist seeing as I knew I would carry it regularly. This is a look you can modify easily with just swapping out your shoes and accessories. (For example, these pants also look super cute with black Converse. It creates and entirely different vibe for the outfit.)
