To all my fellow casual girls, here is a tee for you. It is comfortable, cute, and the cut is flattering. Often, simple short-sleeved tees can have a boxy fit, ultimately adding the illusion of extra weight to your frame. This tee pulls in slightly around the ribcage, making for a more flattering fit. I love the fact that there is a pop of color on the front while still maintaining the simplicity of a plain gray tee. Then there is the back…boom! Major color. I laugh when I wear this shirt because I can’t help but think, “Business in the front, party in the back”.
I opted to pair this top with super dark denim skinny jeans. This particular pair is wonderful because there is the sliiiiiightest bit of stretch. They feel great on the waistline but there isn’t stretch in the denim to cause the fit to change throughout the day.
Now, can we talk about these booties? I found these fringed beauties at Nordstrom this past week. I had been stockpiling my Nordstrom notes and it was clear to me that it was time to cash them in and purchase these booties. (Side note: If you shop at Nordstrom at all, I HIGHLY recommend looking into their Rewards program. It’s fantastic. Plus, they offer a credit card OR a debit card.) The color of these boots is unique. There is definitely a light mauve undertone but they read neutral. When I bought them home, I held them up to various pieces in my closet and was pleased with how many items they complemented.
Details: Top: Anthropologie | Jeans: rag & bone | Booties: Kate Spade (also available in black) | Short Necklace: Madewell | Longer necklace: Madewell (unavailable but click here for another great option…that can be engraved!)
