My sister-in-law, Ann Elizabeth, works at Madewell, where she is the Associate Store Manager. She is without a doubt one of the most stylish individuals that I know. While she is always knowledgeable about current trends within the fashion world, I love that Ann doesn’t rely solely on what is considered hot at the moment. She has a cool personal style that I would describe as casual chic. The girl can layer like nobody’s business and can rock a chambray shirt and make it look effortless. Tiffany and I asked Ann if we could take a peek inside her handbag to see what goodies she carries around. Here is a look at her must-have items and her explanation on why she loves them…
“I think that the main reason I wanted this bag (the Stockholm Satchel from Madewell) is because of the size. I can use it as a cross body. My big tote that I was using was so large that it was awkward to lug it to dinner or to the grocery store. I think this bag is the perfect size for day and it also transitions well into night.” -Ann
“Madewell always has great seasonal pouches. They are perfect for holding the little things that you keep in your bag and for travel.” -Ann
“I never remember to put perfume on before leaving the house so I carry this Elizabeth and James Nirvana rollerball. The scent is really light and feminine. I have always loved Nars lips products. They have such great pigment. This one (in Giza) gives the perfect pinky-nude sheen. The lip gloss on the bottom is Bite’s Lush Fruit Gloss in Rambutan. It provides a mild gloss. I wear this one on days when I don’t want a bright pop of color on my lips.” -Ann
“My husband introduced me to this hand lotion. Now we also have several tubes at all times. We both love it because not only does it work but it isn’t greasy.” -Ann
“I bought this Sonia Kashuk brush (at Target) because it is travel-sized. It fits compactly in my bag. As for the SUGAR Lip Treatment, it is essential for me. If I was going to be sent to a desert island and I was only allow to take three items, this would be one of those items.” -Ann
“This product is easy to carry and gives me the extra volume that my hair needs later in the day. It is a dry shampoo and a volumizer.” -Ann
“I found this phone case when I was in Palm Beach. I was searching for a new case and liked this Kate Spade one because it was simple and sleek.” -Ann
“I needed to find hair ties that wouldn’t cause breakage and I came across these. These are also great because they don’t kink your hair. I always carry these in my bag.” -Ann
“I always carry this Nars Blush/Bronzer Duo. I really like that they are both in one compact.” -Ann
