For those of you wondering what in the world this means, the Liebster Award is given to new bloggers (like ourselves) by their fellow bloggers. The idea is simply to encourage and support one another. Here are our answers to her questions…
1. What three pieces should every girl have in her closet?
Tiffany- For those of us who work in corporate America, I think that a black pencil skirt is essential. Based on my weekend go-to style, a versatile piece would be a puffer vest. Lastly, I think a timeless watch that you can wear to the office or during a night out is a great staple item.
Lindsey- I think that denim jacket is a fantastic piece for every girl to have because it transitions well into all seasons. A great statement necklace is a great piece to own because it can instantly transform any look. Finally, in my opinion, soft white t-shirt is a must-have wardrobe item. The perfect crisp white tee can be worn with a pair of Chucks for a casual look or you can throw on your statement necklace with your tee and look stylish yet effortless.
2. Which do you enjoy more- cooking or baking?
Tiffany & Lindsey- If you follow our blog, you might have noticed that we both love to bake. We really enjoy recipes that can be made fairly quickly but that taste delicious. It is fun to test out some of the “most pinned” treats on Pinterest and see how they turn out!
3. Which is your favorite room in your home and why?
Tiffany: Our loft is my favorite room because of the light that it gets during the day and because it is my “girlie-space”. The space makes me happy because I have our family pictures from our wedding displayed in there.
Lindsey: My favorite room in our house is without a doubt our family room. To me, it feels so cozy and warm. It is the place in our home where we spend the most time together.
4. If you were to be dropped off at the airport today, told to go anywhere in the world-no cost involved-where would you get on a plane to? And why?
Tiffany: I would go to Guatemala, hands down. You probably are thinking, “Why not Fiji?” Well, I would love to go there but it’s more important to me to take a trip to Guatemala to visit my husband’s family. There are so many aunts, uncles and cousins that I have yet to meet.
Lindsey: If I could go anywhere, I would hop on a plane to London. I spent three years there, from ages 12 to 15, but haven’t been back in over 15 years. I would love to visit with my old haunts and catch up with old friends.
5. Which do you prefer a small or large handbag?
Tiffany: It really depends on the outfit and where I am going. I tend to carry larger handbags during the week to work and smaller bags on the weekend.
Lindsey: If I had been asked this question two years ago, I would have said “as large as possible.” Recently, I have found myself gravitating towards smaller, cross-bodies.
6. Why did you start your blog? What inspires you to keep going?
Tiffany & Lindsey: We began our blog because the two of us both were each craving a creative outlet. We thought that beginning this adventure together would be so much fun…little did we know how right we were! We are inspired by anything that allows us to spend time together creating and anything that provides us with an opportunity to learn more about photography.
7. What are five products that you wear/use daily?
Tiffany:

Lindsey: Here are five of my favorite daily products-
1.) Philosophy’s Take a Deep Breath Moisturizer (morning and evening)
2.) Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
3.) Benefit’s Benetint cheek tint
4.) Onesta Create Finish Hairspray
5.) Simple Skin Care Facial Wipes (I have fussy skin and this entire line is gentle enough that it doesn’t bother my face. I also use the face wash.)
8. What hobby/activity do you wish you had more time for?
Tiffany: I wish I had more time to volunteer. Helping others brings me inner peace.
Lindsey: That’s an easy one. I wish that I had time to attend photography courses.
9. What is your favorite pattern?
Tiffany: Plaid, for sure.
Lindsey: Currently, I am obsessed with plaid but I have always gravitated towards stripes.
10. Is there something you learned late in your blog journey that you wish you knew earlier?
Tiffany and Lindsey: We are still extremely early in our journey but we are excited to see what we learn in the future!
11. What is your favorite season and why?
Tiffany: I love the cooler months because it allows me to layer and I don’t have to worry about my body as much!
Lindsey: I look forward to fall every year. I love the smell of the crisp fall air, the changing foliage and the fact that I can wear layers!
