For those of you that work in Corporate America, I’m sure you are often challenged with finding an outfit that you can easily transform from office to after work. Regardless if you are headed to happy hour with co-workers or out to dinner with friends, you can always change up your accessories to transform from day to night.
Thankfully, my work environment is becoming more casual, which allows for me to wear jeans throughout the week. I always keep my ‘work’ jeans classic…no ripped denim for the office!
This outfit just happens to be all black. I do tend to wear black or navy a lot throughout the week, so I have challenged myself to add some color. I purchase both my jeans and top over the holidays, while in California. My jeans are Paige Denim from Nordstrom. If you haven’t tried Paige Denim, you are missing out on a great pair of jeans. I’m challenged with a curvier body and jeans sometimes don’t fit right, but Paige Denim tends to hug my curves in the right way!
My work bag is the Paris Market tote from Stella & Dot. It’s the perfect size to hold my laptop and work planner.
The metallic polka dot detail on the sweater is the reason I picked it up. Once I tried it one, I loved the relaxed yet fitted structure. Ladies, this sweater is currently 85% off!!
To complete my work look, I added a simple necklace. This specific necklace can be worn either as a short necklace or a longer one. This color of the Pendant Necklace is no longer available, however Stella & Dot does have it in Pink, Orange and Gold.
Now to change up my outfit to something a little more ‘downtown’, I simply added/changed my accessories.
First, I swamped my smaller necklace to a bigger statement necklace. This one was purchased 6 month ago at TJ. Maxx. They always have a great options at affordable prices.
I then added a leather jacket to give my look a little bit of edge. A black leather jacket can really complete just about any look.
I put away my work bag and brought out my zebra pouch. This pouch was a gift from a friend several years ago, but I still use it all the time.
Finally, I added a few more pieces to create an arm party.
And with a 5 minute change, I’m ready for a night out.
How do you all go from day to night? We would love to hear your ideas.
Thanks for stopping by and happy Monday,
Tiffany
