Pretty Peplum

Happy Wednesday!  Hope you all are having a great week.  I drove down to Charlotte last night and will be working from here the rest of the week before heading to the beach with the family on Saturday.  My goal is to see as many houses as possible during my downtime…say a little prayer we find something we love!

I’m sure you’ve seen this peplum a thousand times by now, but I couldn’t resist sharing this look with you.  I wore this to the Kendra Scott party we co-hosted on Friday and absolutely love how the blue popped off my white jeans. I mean I would wear white jeans year round – I love them that much!   I ordered this top months ago, but because so many people purchased, it was on back order.  I finally got it a few weeks ago and let me tell you that it was worth the wait.  I’m actually going to purchase in other colors.

Have a great day!

Stripes and Ruffles

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Ours was rather busy, but I went to bed last night feeling accomplished. I checked several items off my to-do list this weekend and if anyone knows me, I love checking a box!  Now this week is going to suck; work is going to be crazy and I already know I have to work over the weekend, so it’s going to be a long two weeks.

I don’t know what happened to the warm weather over the weekend because it was chilly.  Regardless of the cooler temps, I wore this cute short sleeved top that I just purchased from Nordstrom.  I’m really into blue and white stripes this season, so this top immediately got my attention.  Then the two tiered ruffle just made it that much sweeter, not to mention the perfect length.  I absolutely love this shirt and may need to get in navy and white too.

Obviously, I paired the top with my white jeans.  These jeans are amazing…they don’t show any of my imperfections, which is so hard to find with white denim.  Plus, I really like classic style of these jeans; I can wear them out with friends or even to work.  I love jeans that are versatile enough to wear socially and professionally.

Free People Tunic

Happy Monday!  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  After weeks of warm weather, it was rather cold here in Raleigh. I think it dipped down the the 30s on Saturday morning; what is that all about?!

Rudy and I went home to visit my family and they surprised me with a little family dinner on Saturday night.  I can’t believe that I am about to turn THIRTY SEVEN…how is this happening?  I ran into a girl I went to high school with over the weekend and we talked about our 20 year high school reunion, which will be next year.  That makes me feel so old, yet I’m still 28 in my mind.  Maybe I’m just delusional.  Nonetheless, my birthday is on Saturday (the 15th) and I can’t wait to celebrate with Rudy in London.  We arrive at 6:30 AM London time and we have a full five days planned.   So excited!

Anyways, let’s talk about this Free People tunic.  I saw the pink version on a fellow blogger awhile back and loved it, but then forgot about the top.  Then during my trip to California in late February, I found both the pink and blue on the sale rack at Nordstrom.  While I initially wanted the pink one, after trying them both one, I decided to go with the blue.  I’m so glad I did because I’ve worn this multiple times and it’s coming to London in my suitcase.

Here, I’ve paired it with my navy Hinge block heel sandals.  Yes, these are the same as my taupe ones; I told you I was going to order more.  They are super comfy and I even have them in black as well.
